Feature Requests

The current modelling does not allow modifications to be inserted between operations that have already been carried out. For example, I modelled a part with an extrusion, some fillets, and an extrude cut. However, I have realised that I now need a second extrusion after the first one. In order to include this, I now need to delete the fillets and the extrude cut. It would save time if I could just disable them in the history view, make the modification, and then re-enable them.

In other professional CAD tools the sketcher environment displays sketched lines in different colors/hues depending on the status of constraints. For example: non constrained lines are shown black Constrained lines are shown in a dark green And a fully constrained sketch is shown in a bright/light green This is helpful for determining if the sketch is fully configured or if there are constraints missing which could cause problems later on in the process. Also this would make the lines more visually distinguishable from each other in the process of sketching and constraining.

I would like to have the ability to import mesh and point cloud data for quick and easy reorientation and reverse engineering. I do 3D scanning of mechanical components and modeling small parts from the scanned data on the iPad would be a game changer for me.

(Plasticity user) I would recommend adding a on/off toggle on/off for a grid display. Allow users to configure the sizes of the grid. Also, adding a snap on/off to the grid would be essential. In addition, allow users to configure snap tolerances.

Add support for creating offset construction planes from existing faces or global reference planes. This allows users to sketch or build features at precise distances without manually creating reference geometry.

Currently, there are just the six predefined view/display options: Top, Front, Back, Right, Left, Bottom plus the custom orientation option by pulling the part. It would be nice to have a seventh predefined view/display option as an isometric view showing Front/Top/Right. Like the orientation the parts get loaded in, when the file is opened from the "My files" screen. In addition, this view could be used on the "My files" screen to present the designed parts and better tell them apart.

For usability, faster modelling and integration of changed it would be nice to be able to rename the components like Sketches, Solids and objects in the History branch view. At the moment it is kind of tedious to look for the right sketch to change a measurement if you can't recall correctly when the sketch was made. In the edit view for the sketch for example, the name is shown, but it is not changeable.

Hello, please add the Trim and Helix commands to the Part3D application.

At the moment a lot of UI overlaps. For example when I extrude from a sketch and then want to select the section to extrude a lot of sketches are overlapping, so I need to hide a few sketches but the UI editing element on the right then blocks the list of the sketches and models. So I need to close the extrude function pray that I hide the correct sketch and then select again extrude. Perhaps also repeat that if I was hiding the wrong sketch. My proposed solution would be to have some ui like the object/sketch selector on the top right always on top of every UI or alternatively the possibility to move with the fingers or pen the ui elements around.
