A way to insert modification between steps

The current modelling does not allow modifications to be inserted between operations that have already been carried out.
For example, I modelled a part with an extrusion, some fillets, and an extrude cut. However, I have realised that I now need a second extrusion after the first one. In order to include this, I now need to delete the fillets and the extrude cut.
It would save time if I could just disable them in the history view, make the modification, and then re-enable them.

You can add a second extrusion by toggling the visibility of the origina sketch then extruding it, does that help your use case?

Part3D I was thinking more like the solution in Fusion(360) or FreeCAD for example, where you can move a slider or some sort of thing to disable some features, to build a new feature in between.
You can see the slider in the bottom left corner and the four screenshots show a simple part being changed.
